This week Kingston & Open Spaces held a Halloween costume day and bake sale to raise vital funds for Diabetes UK.

Throughout the evening, teams of ten competed in an interactive Question of Sport quiz, based on the popular TV quiz and hosted by former Newcastle and England manager Kevin Keegan.
Although no prizes were won in the quiz and there was an unsuccessful £160 bid on ‘An afternoon with the Worlds Cutest Sheep’ in the charity auction, Team Open Spaces (sitting at the Middlesbrough FC themed table) collected a bunch of new football scarves and were able to meet King Kev himself.
This inaugural north east event was organised by a committee of representatives within the housing sector to raise funds for KidsOut. Attended by more than 300 guests from key businesses across the region, just under £50,000 was raised!
Through life-changing work, KidsOut gives disadvantaged children around the UK positive experiences to support them becoming future members of our society and workforces.
KidsOut relies entirely on voluntary donations and corporate supporters – visit kidsout.org.uk to find out more about the amazing work they do.
